Customizing Your Agent

After creating your agent and adding sources, you can customize how it looks and communicates with your customers.

Welcome Message

The welcome message is the first thing customers see when they open the chat widget. Use it to set expectations and guide the conversation. Example: “Hi! I’m the support assistant for Acme Co. Ask me anything about our products, shipping, or returns.”
Keep your welcome message short and specific. Tell customers what topics your agent can help with so they ask the right questions.

Theme

Choose a visual theme for your chat widget:
  • Light — Clean white background, ideal for light-colored websites
  • Dark — Dark background, good for sites with darker color schemes
  • Brand — Uses your brand colors for a fully integrated look
Give your agent a custom name and upload a logo that appears in the chat widget header. This helps your agent feel like a natural part of your brand.
Custom agent name and logo are available on Pro and Elite plans.

Tone Settings

Adjust how your agent communicates:
  • Professional — Formal, business-appropriate language
  • Friendly — Conversational and approachable
  • Concise — Short, direct answers
Choose the tone that matches your brand voice and customer expectations.
